Back to more normal temps
Temps closer to normal now but no snow good thing yes all the snow is gone. Looking forward to a nice spring, waiting for a good rain storm to wash away road salt & sand off the roads. After that I can get the Goldwing out and ready to ride. Sam

Superior Snowshoe Walks
Going to be a great evening for the snowshoe cookout maybe enough snow left to walk the ski trails. Remember this is a one time only that you can snowshoe on the ski trails any other time it's a no no. Bring food a dish to pass and what you want to drink and a chair if you want to sit around the fire or just to sit around.

Windy snow
Very windy last night and around a inch of snow temps will be in the 20's today then head for the 50's for the next week or so. Not sure what this will do to the ski hills but they should survive for awhile same with cross country as for snowmobiling this maybe the last weekend. Sam

Weather
Forecast for the next 14 days shows temps in the 30's, 40's & 50's in that order with no real snow in the forecast period. Looks like winter maybe starting to wind down Cross Country & Downhill will remain in excellent condition snowmobile trails will depend on how fast it warms up as to how long they will last no where as long as Cross Country & Downhill skiing as trails do not have much of a base. New rule
There is a new rule for snowmobiles next season you will not be able to park your sled in front of the rooms they must be parked in the backyard. The first reason water dripping off the heat exchangers makes ice piles that are dangerous and cannot be plowed away and a mess. Second sleds returning late at night wake up the other guests in the motel parking in front of the rooms. You have to park in the back yard period no exceptions.
Winter is winding down
The foot of new snow last week sure did help this weekend with skiers and snowmobiliers but looking at the forecast there maybe one more weekend for snowmobiling as temps are going to get warm. On the other hand Downhill & Cross Country skiing will last a lot longer as they do not need as much snow especially cross country. The good news it did snow around a 1 inch last night and still snowing lightly with a chance of light snow on and off for the week then the warm up. Will keep you informed. Sam
