Rain
What a mess as it started to rain about 3 hours ago not hard but enough to make a mess out of everything. My guess snowmobile trails have to be in bad shape as they were getting thin before the rain. Now we are going to need snow and cold temps to get them back in shape. Downhill and cross country trails should of held up much better than the snowmobile trails. Forecast is calling for colder temps and some snow over the next week will have to wait and see what we get and how everything holds up. Sam
Weather
Forecast is calling for some rain today then a mix tonight and some snow on Saturday. Trails are starting to get thin in spots and streets are starting to get bare but overall they are holding up fairly well. Time will tell how bad they will get but we do need snow and colder temps soon. Sam

Sun
Sun is out haven't seen the sun for sometime now but it sure is cold -17 this morning. Sure is beautiful out with the sun and all the snow on the trees will have to take some pictures and post later. All groomers are out and the main trail looks great not all trails are groomed as they are waiting for the wet areas to firm up so they can be groomed. Cross country skiing is excellent along with downhill all we need now are people to come up and enjoy it. Sam

Snow storm
Saturday snowed around 6 inches & windy didn't plow took a day off. Sunday morning got up around 6:30 to start plowing about 8 to 10 inches of snow and not snowing figured it was over than at 7:00 it started to really snow. Its still snowing so far snow total around 15 inches is my guess and like I said still snowing only time will tell how much more we get. Not bad 7 out of 8 days have had to plow snow and its only the first part of December. Sam

6th day
Have to plow again more to clean up than new snow but its the 6th day in a row to plow. First snow blowed now its time to plow and shovel as the wind made a mess along with the city plowing. Alpine and cross country skiing should be very good snowmobile trails are open but will take time to get all trails open. Swamps and wet areas need time to freeze up in order for the groomers to get through. Sam

Snow
Had to plow again as it snowed last night and this morning which is a good thing but its getting old and its just the start to the season. Drove by the main snowmobile trail this morning and looked good just groomed but the base is not built up yet will take time and more snow. Alpine and cross country skiing should be great with all the new snow and more coming. Sam

More snow
It just won't stop snowing plowed for the last 3 days of light lake effect snow my guess 8 to 12 inches maybe more but hard to tell as it snows all day long. Did see that the groomer went down the grade last night not sure what trails have been groomed or rolled as this is the first real snow of the season. It will take time and more snow to get all trails open this should help the ski hills and make for some good cross country skiing. Sam

More snow
Snowed all day 5 to 8 inches of lake effect snow so looks good but need a good storm with heavy snow to get the snowmobile trails going. The snow will help cross country skiing as they do not need as much to get going but more the better. Sam
Snow
Forecast called for sunny skies guess what cloudy and light lake effect snow 3 to 5 inches every little bit helps. Sam

Snow report
3 to 5 inches of snow on the ground forecast is calling for cold temps snow on and off but not looking like to much snow. Snowmobile trails are open but not enough snow to ride along with all the rain this fall trails will take some time to get in shape as any low areas or swamps that the trail go through will be very wet. Indianhead is open with limited runs, cross country skiing is open at ABR with early season conditions. Sam

Had to plow
Just enough snow that I had to plow, lucky it got cold last night and froze the ground back up so I didn't tear up any yard. Close to 4 inches of snow fell today with temps in the 20's lets hope this is the start to winter again. Sam
Forecast
Forecast keeps changing but starting to look better with colder temps and some snow can only hope this is the real start to winter as we need snow. Its snowing now but just a little but every bit helps. Sam
